Spongebob, You're Fired! (re-written) by Devion Jones A.K.A. Regulardude45

Inspiration from TheMysteriousMrEnter

Our story begins at the Krusty Krab, home of the Krabby Patty, where Squidward has just gotten an order for two Krabby Patties. He hands the order over to Spongebob who proceeds to gather the ingredients for the formentioned menu item. In a dash he puts two raw patties on the grill and starts cooking. As he begins to flip Spongebob lets out a big sigh and starts talking to himself.

"Ah, I love this job. I've been working here for years and I'm still not tired of it." Spongebob flips another patty and starts talking again. "I wonder if there will ever be a job to match this." His finishes the patties and adds the buns, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese and pickles. "Order up Squidward!" Spongebob hands Squidward the finished order and during so Squidwards hands him another order. Mr. Krabs walks into the room with a mop and a bucket full of water.

"Hold that order Spongebob. I need you to mop and disinfect the restrooms."

"But, Mr. Krabs! You can't cook and neither can Squidward! Who will run the grill?"

"They'll just have to wait til' the job is done boy-o!" Mr. Krabs handed Spongebob the supplies he needed. "While you're doing that, I need to count me profits for today!" Mr. Krabs walked into his office and Spongebob went to clean the washrooms. Leaving the grill and written order unattended............

After 15 minutes had gone by, Spongebob had finished mopping the bathroom floors. He sucked the sweat forming on him back into his body and walked towards the kitchen to begin orders, only to be stopped by Squidward.

"Spongebob! There's a fire starting in the kitchen! We've got to get out of here!" The customers in the restaurant had already began to run out of the premises when Spongebob and Squidward made a bee line for the door. As they were outside, they could only watch as the fire began to tear down their work place.

"SPONGEBOB!" A voice behind them yelled. It was Mr. Krabs and boy he was angry. "Where did this fire come from!?" Spongebob thought back to the events that happened previously in the day until he finally found out what had happened.

"Well, when you asked me to go mop the floors I think a left an unfinished order on the grill......" Mr. Krabs was about to yell at him when he realised- "ME MONEY!" Mr. Krabs ran into the burning building to find all of his money. He quickly returned considering he was now on fire. "AHHH! FIRE ON THE POOPDECK!" Mr. Krabs ran into a nearby puddle, splashing around like a fish out of water. He then walked up to his employees now with a calm expression.

"Spongebob, you've burned down me buisness and burned down me profits. You've left me with no choice." Spongebob grabbed Mr. Krabs by his shirt collar and started dangling on him like a monkey.

"No, please Mr. Krabs! I didn't mean to! Give me on more chance!" he pleaded with sobs in between his sentences.

Mr. Krabs shook his head. "I'm sorry Spongebob me boy-o, but, you're fired. Please go home and never come back." Spongebob held his head in shame. He handed Mr. Krabs his hat and then walked slowly back to his pineapple home.

Spongebob opened his front door and walked passed his pet snail and towards his chair. "Hey Gary, I'm home....." He sat down in his chair and began to sob. Gary slid over to his owner and gave a sympathetic "Meow?"

"Well Gary, I accidentally burned the Krusty Krab down and then got fired because of it." Gary gave him a few more meows. "Aw, thanks Gar-Bear, that means alot to me." Spongebob reached over and hugged Gary tightly. It was then that Gary's stomach began to growl. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot to feed you Gary. Let's go get you some snail food in your tummy." The two of them went inside the kitchen and Spongebob opened up a cabinet. The cabinet was revealed to be completely empty.

"Oh darn, we're out of Snailpo." Gary's stomach began to growl again. Spongebob then got an idea. "Don't worry Gary. We can make our own Snailpo!" Spongebob grabbed a ton of vegetables from his refreigerator, chopped them up,  put it into a pot and began to cook it on a stove. After he stirred it he taste-tested it and shouted "Perfect!"

He then poured his new snail food into Gary's bowl. "Tell me what you think of it Gary!" His pet snail slid his was toward the food bowl and began to eat it. "Mrrow!" Gary meowed happily.

"You really think it's the best thing you've ever tasted Gary?" Spongebob happily thanked Gary for his compliment. Then he heard a knocking at the door. "I wonder who that could be....." Spongebob walked over and opened the door revealing his best friend Patrick.

"Hey buddy! How's it going?" Patrick asked. Spongebob then realised what had happened to him not too long ago and began to go back into depression.

"I burned down the Krusty Krab today, Patrick. I got fired." Spongebob began to sob again from his current status of unemployment.

"Well, don't worry Spongebob. I'm sure you'll find another job you'll love." Patrick then smelled something delicious coming from the kitchen and in cartoonish fashion the smell picked him up and he floated to Gary's bowl. "Hey Gary, you gonna finish that?" Without getting an answer, Patrick picked up the bowl and began to eat what was left inside. "Mmmm, Spongebob, that was delicious! I've never tasted Snailpo THIS good!"

"Wait, you actually EAT Snailpo?" Spongebob began to gag at the thought of the last time he ate Snailpo when he lost his nametag. "Well, thanks for the compliment Patrick."

"Why don't you just sell this instead of making Krabby Patties? I'm sure other pets would LOVE this stuff!" That statement made Spongebob come to a realization. He let out a gasp and then spoke.

"Patrick! You're a genius! I can make a living off of selling snail food!"

It had been about a month scince the Krusty Krab was burned down. A few days ago it was rebuilt and was a steady eating establishment again. Mr. Krabs had found a replacement for Spongebob. The surfer Scooter was incharge of making Krabby Patties now.

Squidward handed Scooter an order for two Krabby Patties. He ran to go get patties out of the freezer and put them on the grill. Squidward was a little bit chatty today and decided to talk to Scooter. "Y'know what new guy? I'm starting to get used to you. You're much better than that pain in the neck, Spongebob was."

"Thanks dude! I'm having a good time working here." Scooter replied. Squidward then began to read the articles in the newspaper.

In Mr. Krab's office, the stubborn money-grubbing crab was taking a money bath relaxing and thinking to himself.

"Ahh, It's nice to have the Krusty Krab back to normal again." Mr. Krabs tried to relax himself in his tub full of various dollars but he couldn't seem to get comfortable. "I wonder what Spongebob's been doing though. I haven't seen him since I fired him about a month ago." Mr. Krabs finally gave up on trying to get cozy and put on a towel so he could get out. "It's just not the same without him." Squidward came into his office with the latest newspaper.

"Mr. Krabs! You've got to see this!" Squidward pratically shoved the newspaper in his face. Mr. Krabs grabbed it out of Squidward's hands and read the first page. "Spongebob has a best selling food product?"

Spongebob's homemade snail food has made him quite the buisness man. One of the reasons for that is because it wasn't just edible for snails. Every pet could enjoy the taste, heck, every fish in the sea could enjoy the taste. His food was so popular that it was everywhere. Billboards, magazines, newspapers, TV commercials, you name it.

"Spongebob! You've made 1 million sales so far this week!" Patrick said. He then patted his best friend on the back. "You've done a good job!"

"Yeah, I guess." Spongebob said with much uninterest in his voice.

"What's wrong buddy? You've made a living out of your delicious snail food! Aren't you happy?"

"I don't know Patrick. I mean, the money is great and all, but I miss the Krusty Krab........." Spongebob then began to grab another can of his snail food brand for Gary. "I don't feel like this is what I want to do with my life. It's not the same without my spatula or grill or Mr. Krabs. This life style just isn't meant for me."

"Aww, come on Spongebob. I'll buy you a Goofy Goober Double Fudge Sunday to cheer you up."

"Thanks Patrick. Ice cream always makes me feel better." Spongebob put a smile back on his face. He fed Gary and they began to walk to Goofy Goober's.

"Order Up!" Scooter finished making the patty but it was burnt and had way too much ketchup on it. Squidward didn't care and he gave the customer their Krabby Patty. After the customer had tasted their patty they threw it in Squidward's face. "Hey! What was that for?"

"Your burger tastes like coral! I'm never eating here again!" The customer left in anger. Mr. Krabs came into the kitchen by the sound of the unappealed customer.

"Scooter! What happened?"

"Sorry boss! I accidentally burnt a patty."

"Well, don't do it again! Or I'll cut down your salary!" Mr. Krabs slammed the door and went back into his office.

Spongebob had eaten his sunday, but was still unsatisfied. So Patrick decided to take him back to his old workplace to get him a Krabby Patty. "Don't worry buddy, I'm sure a trip back to old memories will help you!" After a short walk they made it to the Krusty Krab. When Spongebob and Patrick opened the doors they were shocked to see the condition of the eating establishment. The place was a mess. People were at the counter of the fast-food eatery demanding to know where their patties were. Scooter was definetly not working fast enough for the huge haul of customers ahead of him.

"Dear Neptune! What's happening?" Spongebob asked in an alarmed voice. Squidward then called out to him.

"Spongebob! Help! Scooter isn't cooking these orders fast enough or even correctly!" Spongebob held out his hand signaling for Squidward to stop talking. He stretched his hand out, grabbed Squidward's hat and put it on.

"I know what I must do." Spongebob leaped across the field of hungry fish and into the kitchen from the ordering window. "Don't worry Scooter! I've got this covered!" Scooter stepped out of the way to let Spongebob do what he did best. Spongebob flipped and dressed about 20 patties in record time. Then he began serving the patties out of the order window. He scattered 20 patties onto different tables and a handful of the fish went towards the tables to eat. Spongebob then began to chop extra lettuce, tomatos and onions for the next batch of Krabby Patties on their way. This went on until every customer was satisfied, with a faceful of love in a bun.

Mr. Krabs went up to Spongebob to congradulate him on a job well done. "Thanks for savin' me buisness boy! I couldn't have done it without ya!" Mr. Krabs held out his hand and Spongebob shook it with pride. "It's too bad you're already a successful snail food seller. We really miss you back here."

Spongebob turned to Patrick who gave a him a thumbs up with a dumb smile on his face. Then he looked back to Mr. Krabs who also gave him a smile but his was a much more sad but accepting smile. "Mr. Krabs, I don't want all the money I get from my famous snail food. I want to work right here at the Krusty Krab. That is, if you'll have me back here after what I did."

"That's alright Spongebob. Maybe it was my fault for being too hard on ye." Mr. Krabs turned around and said "Scooter! You're fired!" and then "Spongebob, you're hired!" Spongebob let out a loud yippee and went back in the kitchen to make more patties.

"Ah, Grill Sweet Grill. How I missed you." Spongebob grabbed his spatula, kissed it, then continued to do the job he loved. "You know what Squidward? Maybe it's more important to spread my gift to everyone than to keep all that joy to myself."

"Whatever Spongebob, just get back to grilling. I'm trying to take my break." Squidward tries to read a magazine but then falls asleep in the process.

This episode looked exactly just like the first 3 seasons of SpongeBob. :) Good job!
